Huntington-Ingalls Shipyard Revitalization

Cost & Schedule, During Design

To inform their clients’ budgeting and procurement planning, Machado/Patano Engineers retained RiverCoast to assist with the upcoming expansion at Huntington-Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS. Using P6 in parallel to the 30/60/90 designs, RiverCoast generated progressive construction estimates with production-based durations and contract packaging options. Outcomes of this “early-contractor-involvement” effort included contract times, presentation material for owner, and less-risk along the critical path.

RiverCoast has been retained by NOPB to layout and design a new track-work that returns Port property to commerce along the Industrial Canal.  Efforts include sub-surface utility engineering and design.

Coach Melvin Howard and his non-profit, Victory Training Academy, have retained RiverCoast to provide design & construction services for site improvements and a new building at NORD’s Odile Davis Playground.  The facilities will support athletics and life-skill development activities for the underserved youth in the area.
